About 365|Lead-free free-machining brass with bismuth replacing lead. Designed as a drop-in replacement for C360 in plumbing and potable water applications after lead regulations tightened. Bismuth provides chip-breaking similar to lead but without the toxicity. Machinability is close to C360 but not quite as good — most machinists report about 80–85% of the performance. Required for any NSF/ANSI 61 potable water application. Compare to C360 (better machinability but contains lead) and 260 (no lead or bismuth, poor machinability).

About Plate|Thick flat stock, generally 3/16" and up, used for machined base plates, fixture plates, wear surfaces, and structural fabrication. Heavier grades get milled, drilled, and tapped directly.
