Nickel is a primary cost driver for stainless steel and superalloys.

About 825|Incoloy 825 (42% nickel, 21.5% chromium, 30% iron, 3% molybdenum, 2.2% copper). Designed specifically for sulfuric and phosphoric acid service. The combination of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper provides resistance to a broad range of corrosive environments. Less expensive than higher-nickel alloys like 625 or C276. Machines like a tough stainless, work-hardening but manageable with carbide. Used for chemical processing, pollution control, acid production, and oil and gas. Compare to 316 stainless (cheaper but inadequate in aggressive acids) and C276 (better overall corrosion resistance but much more expensive).
About Round Tube|Hollow cylindrical stock for sleeves, bushings, spacers, and hydraulic cylinders. DOM (drawn over mandrel) tubing machines well and holds tight tolerances. Welded-seam structural tube is for cutting and welding, not precision work.
