About 6/6|Nylon 6/6 (polyamide). The most common engineering plastic for machined parts. Good strength, stiffness, and wear resistance. Excellent for gears, bushings, wear pads, and food processing components. Machines easily with standard tooling at high speeds. Absorbs moisture, which causes dimensional growth (up to 2.5%), so account for this in precision work. Compare to Delrin/Acetal (better dimensional stability, less moisture absorption) and UHMW (better impact resistance, lower friction, but softer).

About Round Tube|Hollow cylindrical stock for sleeves, bushings, spacers, and hydraulic cylinders. DOM (drawn over mandrel) tubing machines well and holds tight tolerances. Welded-seam structural tube is for cutting and welding, not precision work.
