Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) is the benchmark for raw steel prices.

About DOM|Drawn Over Mandrel tubing. Not a specific alloy but a manufacturing process. A welded tube (typically 1020 or 1026 steel) is cold-drawn over a mandrel to eliminate the weld seam's inner bead, producing uniform wall thickness and tight ID tolerances. The drawing process work-hardens the steel, increasing strength. This is hydraulic cylinder tubing, steering column tubing, and anything that needs a smooth, precision ID. Machines well for secondary operations. More expensive than standard welded tubing but much cheaper than seamless. Compare to A519 seamless (no seam at all, highest quality) and A513 welded (cheaper, seam bead on ID).
About Round Tube|Hollow cylindrical stock for sleeves, bushings, spacers, and hydraulic cylinders. DOM (drawn over mandrel) tubing machines well and holds tight tolerances. Welded-seam structural tube is for cutting and welding, not precision work.
