Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) is the benchmark for raw steel prices.

About HSLAS-F GR80|HSLA forming quality at 80 KSI yield. Serious high-strength sheet steel for structural applications that need significantly more strength than GR50. Much harder to form and weld than GR50 due to the higher strength. Used in heavy truck frames, construction equipment, and structural components where weight savings justify the premium. Compare to HSLAS-F GR50 (lower strength, easier to form) and STRENX 100XF (even higher strength).
About Plate|Thick flat stock, generally 3/16" and up, used for machined base plates, fixture plates, wear surfaces, and structural fabrication. Heavier grades get milled, drilled, and tapped directly.
