About 18150|Chromium copper (99% copper, 1% chromium). Precipitation-hardenable to moderate strength (60–70 KSI tensile) while retaining about 80% of pure copper’s electrical conductivity. The go-to alloy for resistance welding electrodes and applications requiring the combination of strength, conductivity, and heat resistance. Machines better than pure copper in the hardened condition since the chromium gives chips more body. No beryllium toxicity concerns. Compare to 17510 beryllium copper (much stronger but toxic dust) and C110 (softer, higher conductivity, no heat resistance).

About Plate|Thick flat stock, generally 3/16" and up, used for machined base plates, fixture plates, wear surfaces, and structural fabrication. Heavier grades get milled, drilled, and tapped directly.
