About 22|Hastelloy C-22 (56% nickel, 22% chromium, 13% molybdenum, 3% tungsten). Outstanding resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals including oxidizing and reducing acids, chloride-bearing solutions, and mixed-acid environments. Resists the widest range of chemicals of any nickel alloy. Machines very poorly, similar to Inconel 625. Used for chemical processing, pollution control, waste treatment, and pharmaceutical equipment. Compare to C276 (similar corrosion resistance, slightly different chemistry) and 625 (narrower chemical resistance but also used at higher temperatures).
