DuPont's brand name for acetal homopolymer (POM-H). Slightly higher strength, stiffness, and hardness than acetal copolymer, with better creep resistance. The most recognized brand of acetal. Machines excellently. One of the most CNC-friendly plastics. Used for precision gears, cam followers, conveyor components, and any part requiring tight tolerances and dimensional stability. Compare to Acetal copolymer (slightly lower properties, better chemical resistance to hot water) and Nylon (tougher but absorbs moisture).
