For suppliers

I send material RFQs for machine and fab shops. You sell direct to the shop.

I'm Eric Na. I run Material Price Book, a purchasing service for machine and fab shops. When a shop sends me what it needs, I ask 3~4 suppliers to quote. In 2~3 business days, I give the shop a side-by-side comparison of price per pound and lead time.

Every RFQ is from a shop buying or bidding

Each one says "Buying now" or "Bidding a job".

I don't buy, resell, or mark up material

The shop places the PO directly with you and pays on your terms. If the shop also contacted you on its own, I step out.

No supplier fees or commissions

Shops pay me a flat monthly fee. You pay nothing, even when you win the order.

I don't shop your price

I use your quote to compare options for the shop that asked. I don't share it with competing suppliers or publish your quote, name, or anything that identifies you.

Some shops stay unnamed until the PO

If a shop asks me to keep its name private, the RFQ says only "a fab shop" or "a machine shop" plus its location. You get the shop's name with the PO.

Individual quotes never go on the site

I may include supplier quotes and shop-uploaded quotes in de-identified, aggregate benchmarks. A public range of supplier quotes only appears when an item has quotes from at least three different suppliers. The site also shows distributor list pricing that's posted online, plus estimated net prices modeled from it and checked against real quotes where I have them.

Tell me what you stock, or reply to stop RFQs

Let me know what you stock and where you ship so I can send RFQs that fit. If something makes my RFQs hard to quote, I want to know. If you don't want RFQs, reply and say so.
