Aluminum 1100 Sheet Prices

About 1100|Nearly pure aluminum (99%+). Extremely soft, gummy, and a nightmare to machine. Machinists compare it to cutting bubble gum. Produces terrible burrs, strings instead of chips, and welds itself to tooling. If you have to machine it, use razor-sharp HSS tools with high positive rake, flood coolant, and crank the SFM as high as you can. Mostly used for chemical equipment, food processing, and deep-drawn parts where corrosion resistance and formability matter more than machinability. If someone specs this for a machined part, ask if they actually need it or if 6061 would work. It almost always would.

About Sheet|Thin flat stock, generally under 3/16", used for stamping, bending, shearing, and laser/plasma cutting. It's the starting material for enclosures, panels, brackets, and formed sheet metal parts.
