About A606 TY4|Weathering steel sheet and strip, Type 4. The sheet equivalent of A588 plate. Same copper-bearing chemistry that forms a protective patina. Used for roofing, siding, architectural panels, and formed structural members that will be left unpainted. Type 4 indicates higher corrosion resistance than Types 1-3. Compare to A588 GR B (plate equivalent) and standard mild steel sheet (needs painting or coating).
About Sheet|Thin flat stock, generally under 3/16", used for stamping, bending, shearing, and laser/plasma cutting. It's the starting material for enclosures, panels, brackets, and formed sheet metal parts.
