About HSLAS-F GR50|HSLA Steel, Forming Quality, Grade 50. Same 50 KSI yield as HSLAS GR50 but manufactured to tighter inclusion and surface quality standards for better formability. The 'F' designation means the steel is suitable for more aggressive bending and forming operations without cracking. Used for automotive structural members, roll-formed sections, and any part that needs to be formed from high-strength sheet. Compare to HSLAS GR50 (structural quality, less formable) and HSLAS-F GR80 (higher strength forming grade).
About Plate|Thick flat stock, generally 3/16" and up, used for machined base plates, fixture plates, wear surfaces, and structural fabrication. Heavier grades get milled, drilled, and tapped directly.
