About STRENX 100XF|SSAB's branded ultra-high-strength structural plate with 100 KSI (700 MPa) minimum yield. Quenched and tempered with excellent toughness at low temperatures. The 'XF' indicates extra-fine grain for improved toughness and fatigue properties. This is premium European-origin plate for cranes, heavy equipment, and structural applications where every pound matters. Requires careful welding with low-hydrogen procedures and controlled heat input. Compare to A514 GR B (similar US spec at 100 KSI yield) and A656 GR80 (80 KSI, lower tier).
About Plate|Thick flat stock, generally 3/16" and up, used for machined base plates, fixture plates, wear surfaces, and structural fabrication. Heavier grades get milled, drilled, and tapped directly.
